Adult Only Comedy Nights at Club Betty’s

Pengle Entertainment will be hosting a Trashy comedy night at club Betty’s alongside Captain live Entertainment soon after the world cup. According to the director, Geoffrey Omondi popularly known as Wuon Otiato-Jaluo Namba wan, the trashy nights are meant for adults and will be touching on various topics that are not easily spoken about e.g. sex.

This comes after the comedian, who has been in the industry for almost 10 years now having featured in various television comedies like in-tru-kallas, Krazie Kenyans, XYZ show and Who’s stupid now , launched this seventh series of Pengle 7dubbed Ndesna Something-Facebook comedy about a month ago and will be showcasing it in Dallas in August. Well, sounds like some bit of competition for Churchill, aint it?

NTV to Air Tusker Project Fame

NTV will be exclusively airing this year's Tusker Project Fame reality show, according to very close sources. This is a take over from Royal Media's Citizen TV which aired the second and third TPF exclusively. However it is not the first time the station is to air the show, it did the first TPF only during the second season, they chose to air the Zain University Challenge over TPF.

Tusker Project Fame is a musical reality show that hosts new talent from the East African countries in a house with music professionals, teachers and the winner bags a record deal and a heavy cash prize.

Bomb may affect MAMA’s

A week ago Gossip Gal reported that the MTV Africa Music Awards would be held in Kampala but now it seems that won’t happen. This comes after Sunday night's bomb blast, that killed 65 people in Uganda's capital, Kampala. The organizers argue that since the blast took place in entertainment areas this would be a huge risk for the MTV fans. Unfortunately Tanzania cannot host the event since they don’t have a suitable venue.

2010 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) to be Held in Uganda

Word has it that the third edition of MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) will be held in Kampala,Uganda this year. Gossip Gal also found out that there is a possibility that the event might be delayed to December this year, instead of the normal October shows.Uganda is cited as one of the strongest markets for Zain, a mobile service provider which is the main sponsor, closely following Kenya and Nigeria.

The event was held in Kenya last year and it was hosted by Akon and Wyclef Jean at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

I Used to Love Older Women – Gramps Morgan

The most anticipated Gramps Morgan show went down as expected apart from a few surprises. Two artistes who had been said would be performing alongside him did not even make a technical appearance at the venue. According to our sources the two did not make it to the country as Lady G is said to have missed her flight together with another Jamaican MC. Dynamiq however had updated on his Facebook a few hours before the show that he was in Dubai on his way to Kenya. “‎@ Dubai International Airport Waiting For My Connection to The Mama Land........Here I Come Again” he wrote.For some reason that no one bothered to explain, he was not seen at the show.

This however did not stop Gramps and his Psalms 27 band from entertaining his fans as they sang along to his tunes word for word. Apparently his back up singers also doubles up as India Irie's. Apart from giving his fans an energetic performance the Morgan Heritage’s husky voiced member made a personal confession while entertaining his diehard reggae fans saying that he used to love older women. He did not go into the details though.

Visiting reggae legend Gramps Morgan has confirmed that Morgan Heritage is still a unit. “We are still so much as a band but we decided to take some time off and work on solo careers” Speaking at a press conference at Crown Plaza Hotel Upper hill, Nairobi, the strong built Gramps told journalists. He also revealed that he was in Kenya not only for the charity show but also to promote peace and his album alongside his band, Psalms 27.

There has been rumors that the band members who are all one family would be going separate ways to explore their individual chances, so this statement clears the air.

Lindsay Lohans life on hold

Popupular actress Lindsay Lohans life now hold as she was sentenced Tuesday to 90 days in jail and 90 days in a residential substance-abuse program for violating her probation stemming from two separate 2007 cases of driving under the influence of cocaine and alcohol. She is to surrender and begin her jail sentence July 20. Rehab will follow.
The punishment, levied by Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel, will keep Lohan from promoting "Machete," the Robert Rodriguez action film due in theaters in September. Fox, which is releasing the film, had no comment Tuesday.
Lohan's jail and rehab sentence will also delay production on "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story," in which the 24-year-old actress plays the starring role.
Writer-director Matthew Wilder said after the ruling that he and his crew remain "100 percent behind Lindsay."
"We are proud to have this remarkable artist work on our film," he said.
Lohan's sentence may also prevent her from further promoting her new fashion line, 6126. The first items from the 280-piece collection are shipping out to department stores nationwide this month. Lohan was instrumental in the line's design and marketing plans and is featured in its promotional materials. Her business partner, Kristi Kaylor, did not immediately respond to phone and e-mail messages seeking comment.
Lohan's agent, Nick Styne, declined to comment Tuesday. Her manager, Jason Weinberg, did not respond to an e-mail request for comment.
Kerry Alum, a producer with Lucky Films, said Lohan was in negotiations for a role in the upcoming Willie Nelson flick, "The Dry Gulch Kid," and that the production would wait for her if she wanted the part.
