Nalia(Lace) and Nyanda(Brick)on stage
Looks like organisers of Redsan’s Versatility album were not really interested in media coverage.K24’s Entertainment Diary presenter Remmy Majala got roughed up by bouncers as she was trying to get close to the Jamaican Duo Brick n Lace. She was not the only one in the mix but also Nation and Standard (Pulse) camera men. According to the Nation Photojournalist who preferred anonymity it was the Blackstar crew member who apparently was harassing journalists. “It was a plump lady in a Black Star T-shirt who was harassing us. I wonder whether she has knowledge on how expensive a camera is” he fumed. “I was threatened by Redsan's and Carnivore bouncers not to take any photos as they were harassing my fellow photojournalists and my Camera literally thrown on the ground. It was quite traumatizing” said the Pulse photographer.
“If they did not want any media coverage then why did they give press passes” another member of the Fourth Estate wondered. The event was also marred by a rowdy crowd that occasionally booed at the performers on stage. However, its more than obvious Redsan is on top of his game as he rocked the crowd more than the guest artistes Brick n Lace whom most the crowd in attendance considered three hit wonders after performing their three porpular tracks Bad to de bone, Never Never and Love is wicked. The crowd was mainly disgusted when the twins went ahead and performed other artistes songs like No one by Alicia Keys just to mention a few.
