Kaveke to dress Kenyan M-Net Face of Africa representative.
Kenya’s top designer John Kaveke will be dressing M-net Face of Afrika Kenyan representative Diana Nekoye who will be representing the country in the finals at Lagos on 6 February .The winner of M-Net Face of Africa 2010 is guaranteed to walk away with a modeling contract from O Model Africa, US$50 000 in cash from M-Net, skincare products for 12 months from Iman Cosmetics and a trip to New York, courtesy of Arise magazine, to participate in New York Fashion Week. Speaking at a press conference held at the Sarova Stanley, Kaveke said this is another grand opportunity to showcase his stuff on an international level “Dressing Diana will not be very difficult as we were with her in Dar es salaam for the Swahili Fashion week so atleast I have a clue of her taste; it will just flow.” said the designer who apparently is also dressing The Team cast. His theme on this project will be based on Art and Fashion-Ready to wear, which happens to be the same theme by the best South African Designer in 2009 .Diana on her part is very confident as she defines Kaveke as a professional. The 22year old currently is on her final units at Kenyatta University where she studies marketing and says that she has learnt how to balance modeling and studies as she has been professionally modeling for the past two years. She also was featured in D’banj's latest hit Falling in Love video and is also an Ongata Rongai resident where she lives with her family.
