Bebe Cool represented by Zuena
It seems that Ugandan artistes, Bebe Cool and Chameleone, are finally trying to make peace with each other Bebe Cool sent his dear wife Zuena to represent him and apologize to his fans and all the Ugandan music fraternity for failure to attend the Basiima Ogenze concert that were held of February at KCC Lugogo grounds, the Basiima Ogenze concert.
Zuena appeared on stage at about midnight and spoke to 1000s of fans that had attended Dr. Jose Chameleone’s concert. She said that her husband was not feeling which did not go well with Chameleone who claimed that it was because of him that Bebe Cool didn’t attend the show. However Bebe Cool had previously insisted on attending without fail.
Rihanna gets a lap dance from a midget
Rihanna’s 22nd birthday must have been the most memorable she ever celebrated as it was graced by a ponster midget popularly known as “Bridget the Midget” who gave the singer a lap dance courtesy of her new boyfriend ,baseball star, Matt Kemp. He threw a surprise party for Rihanna and invited 40 close friends. Apart from the lap dance he also gave her a diamond necklace. Wow, let’s hope this one wont end as tragically as Chris Browns did but rather they live happily ever after.

Wakamba Wawili back on TV soon
Wakamba Wawili might be hosting new show on Kiss TV starting form next month if things work out well. The two Labalaa and Agano were hosting Hip-hop Halisi on NTV before their contract expired.” We are hoping to be on air starting from next month probably on Kiss TV.” said Agano, Mkamba wa Pili. The two are also members of Ukoo Flani one of the largest hiphop movements in Kenya.
Dj Lenium’s ex-girlfriend arrested
Baraka FM radio presenter, Dj Lenium’s ex-girlfriend Squishy was on Saturday arrested after a confrontation with the police. The girl who was acting at little theatre where she had played one of the lead roles in the play Boeing Boeing, spent most of the night at Central police before being released early Sunday. Lenium is said to have been there all night waiting for her with some of her co-actors. However Lenium claims he was just assisting and as it sounds as if he did not want people to think they are still together. In other news the DJ could be leaving Baraka FM for Radio Africa “I have been interviewed and spoken with the programme controllers there and I could join Classic 105 or Radio Jambo soon” he told SpicyBizz
Valerie apologises to the church
Word has it that Valerie has apologised to her church members for getting pregnant out of wedlock. The Shuga actress who has been the center of controversy for a while now after it was speculated that her unborn baby could be Eric Wainaina’s is said to have apologised before the congregation on her church at Good Shepherd. Valerie not yet ready to speak out
After so much speculation about the paternity of Valerie Kimani’s pregnancy the Tusker Project Fame (TPFI) winner has told Spicybizz that she is not ready to talk about it yet. “I appreciate your concern and taking time to ask for my side of the story but am sorry I am not ready to talk about it” said the soft spoken Shuga actress said. It is said that the father of her unborn child could be musician Eric Wainaina who apparently is married to Sheba Hirst and have two kids.
Jaguar and Prezzo fight over bling
Prezzo, the King of Bling, and Jaguar are now exchanging words. The beef,as we have gathered came after Jaguars latest release Navuka Boda featuring Bongo artiste AY. Apparently the song was directed to Prezzo. “Its not like I want the title King of Bling I just want Prezzo to tone down and stop flossing with his family riches. Infact all that designer wear he flosses is so local probably bought from some vendors along Moi Avenue ” mocked Jaguar. On the other hand Prezzo claims he does not even know that Jaguar exists “Who is Jaguar? Is he a politician, comedian or musician” Prezzo asked on an interview with Capital FM’s Eve D’souza.
Esther Arunga condemns the media
Esther Arunga has condemned journalists terming the recent stories about her as “media stupidity”. The bitter former KTN news anchor and an advocate of the high court claims that the articles run on The Daily Nation (17.02.2010) The Star on (18.02.2010) were biased and malicious. Apparently she has been living with Hellon and his wife in Runda since last year march. “I am an adult and I can leave anywhere I feel like, besides am approaching my thirties and I wasn’t comfortable staying with my family” she said
Arunga also said that she resigned from KTN because she was being underpaid. She claims that Joseph Hellon has been her friend and spiritual mentor since way back and that he is the one who prayed for her and her family into salvation.

I’ll wait for Ulopa,DNA
Secular turned gospel artiste DNA’s first gospel album might delay. The artiste who recently quit his alcohol addiction after enrolling at a U-turn rehab centre in Ngong confided in Spicy Bizz that his album which is being recorded by Ulopa will have to wait as the producer has extended his tour abroad. “I got no other option but wait for Ulopa to come back since he is the only producer I’m comfortable working with on my first album” he said.
Attitude finally pays dowry
Former K-South Rapper Attitude who has been in the country for two months now has cleared the air over speculations that he and his wife Mercy Myra might have parted ways by paying dowry to Mercy’s parents. “I officially took dowry to Mercy’s family and when we come back from Atlanta July you can expect a wedding anytime from then.” he said. Juacali taking his relationship a notch higher

Wole Soyinka to Judge play writing competition
Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka will be judging the BBC 2010 African Performance playwriting competition. African Performance is a season of drama designed to encourage new African writing. To participate in this competition, one must write a half hour radio play which authentically touches the lives of Africans. The play must be 30 minutes long when read aloud and must have no more than six main characters. This will be a special year for the BBC African Service as it will have been broadcasting African drama for 50 years. Nobel laureate Professor Wole Soyinka has agreed to judge the 2010 playwriting competition.
Is Blue*3 breaking up?

Veteran country singer Dolly Parton wakes up at 3.00am to do her make-up so as to look sexy for her hubby of 44years Carl Dean when he wakes up. The controversial 64 year old who has had a number of cosmetic surgery procedures, including having her breasts enlarged to a 40DD cup still takes pride in looking beautiful. Well, it seems Jomino record label is trying get its groove back having gone quiet the whole of last year .The record label famed for having molded big names like secular turned gospel artiste DNA ,Kenrazy of Tichi, Kaya of Rudia and V6 is speculated to have be having internal squabbles and probably this could be the reason that led to the exit of other artistes like Budhahat . “I want my relationship with V6 to be strictly artiste-producer” Steve Waruta, CEO Jomino said.V6 who is said to be in coast could not be reached to comment over the issue
Bebe Cool now sues the Government.
Ugandan artiste Bebe Cool, and his civilian bodyguards, have filed a notice to sue the Government seeking over sh800m in compensation after they allegedly were shot by a Policeman near Centenary Park Gardens.
Bebe Cool, Allan Masengere, Godfrey Kayiiza and Abas Bosco Kabobyo filed their notice in court on February 2, and served it on the Attorney General. He has to reply the claims within 45 days.Bebe,the son of former Ugandan minister Bidandi Ssali, and the three others are claiming that the state is liable for the policeman’s actions.
The group alleges that on January 29, as they walked near the park, a Special Police Constable, Anthony Achikan, fired over 10 bullets at them, injuring everyone including his fellow policeman who was accompanying them. President Yoweri Museveni, Vice-president Prof. Gilbert Buke
nya and the Police chief, Maj Gen. Kale Kayihura, are among the dignitaries who visited Bebe Cool in hospital. Kayihura regretted the incident and promised investigations into the matter.
The group states that Bebe Cool was shot twice and sustained a fracture in the thigh.
David releases first album.
David Ogola TPF2 finalist who won ladies hearts with his amazing voice and the unique touch he finally cemented his name on the music scene with his album release.
The debut album Mimi Na Wewe, is simply a love story told from the beginning to the end of the album. The first song introduces the lady and the last song ends when he tells her nakupenda (I love you).
Apparently he is the executive producer of his album and he has written all the songs in it. Talk about being multi talent.

Kaveke now to judge M-NET face of Africa grand finale.
This seems like a lucky year for Kenya's top designer, John Kaveke as he has been appointed as one of the judges in the panel of eight at the MNET Face of Africa grand finale. Kaveke studied fashion both Kenya and Spain. He has been involved in prestigious fashion events like International Smirnoff Fashion Awards, FAFA, and Catwalk Kenya among others.
Not only will Kaveke's five-piece collection will feature at the event. He says he's been so consumed by designing the collection that the news about being a judge hasn't quite sunk in. "It's one of those things that hit when you're seated there. Being given the privilege of judging does give me the excitement. It's an honour being handpicked from other top designers considering East Africa is not yet recognized as a major fashion and I'm hoping that I'll bring East African designs to the lime light with my designs."
Other judges are also top names in the beauty industry like Somalia-born supermodel and CEO Iman Cosmetics, Iman. Another supermodel to be gracing the judging panel will be Nigeria’s Oluchi, a former winner of this very same competition. South Africa’s super model Josie Borain; Megan Kruge, Director of The Shine Group agencies; South African designer David Tlale; Nduka Obaigbena, Thisday Editor-in-Chief and Chairman; and ARISE magazine editor Helen Jennings.
As if a Kenyan judge is not enough, Fareed Kimani from Kenya’s Capital FM wall of fame will also present the live finale alongside Botswana’s Kaone Kario, 2005 Face of Africa winner.

Ugandan ragga muffin musician Moses Ssali, a.k.a Bebe Cool was on Saturday morning shot by Special Police Constables (SPCs).However the Police and the hospitalised singer are giving conflicting accounts of the matter. Speaking from his bed in Nsambya Hospital, Bebe Cool denied Police reports that he engaged in a quarrel with the two SPCs who shot him.
He also denied supporting a couple that was making love in a car in a public parking area, whom the SPCs were trying to arrest.
“The Policeman shot me four times. I was innocent. This must be investigated,” Bebe Cool told journalists from his hospital bed.
He links his mishap to rivalry in the music industry and said he had recently informed the Police chief, Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura, about a plot to kill him. “The good thing is that Kayihura and his personal assistant were aware of plans by some people to shoot me. I have been receiving phone messages from anonymous senders, threatening to finish my life.” This incident occurred behind Nakummat Supermarket as the singer left Effendy’s Bar and Restaurant, located in Centenary Park. A bullet also hit Police officer David Oluka who is admitted at Mulago Hospital.
Earlier in the night, Bebe Cool had performed at American music star Robert Kelly’s show at Lugogo Cricket Oval from where he went to Club Silk in Industrial Area.
However Weasel of Goodlife claims that Bebe was shot trying to disarm police.
I din’t sleep with Wyclef, Chessy Mo.
Chessy Mo of Toxic Dancers she has denied making any confessions that she had slept with Wyclef Jean when he was in Kenya for the Mtv Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) as written by a leading tabloid last Friday. Speaking to SpicyBizz at K1 during the Smirnoff Experience Snow party the artiste said she was not aware how that story came up “I even don’t know how this story came up; however I have to keep away from journalists” said the outspoken dancer. Mmmh Chessy are you regretting having spilt out the beans? Or who really slept with Wyclef?
