Wole Soyinka to Judge play writing competition
Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka will be judging the BBC 2010 African Performance playwriting competition. African Performance is a season of drama designed to encourage new African writing. To participate in this competition, one must write a half hour radio play which authentically touches the lives of Africans. The play must be 30 minutes long when read aloud and must have no more than six main characters. This will be a special year for the BBC African Service as it will have been broadcasting African drama for 50 years. Nobel laureate Professor Wole Soyinka has agreed to judge the 2010 playwriting competition.
